Megan Thee Stallion‘s legal history is primarily discussed in the context of Tory Lanez, but she has another ongoing situation on her hands. The photographer suing her has amended his lawsuit, including a claim that the Houston rapper threw a television remote at his head.
Emilio Garcia first sued the 29-year-old rapper in 2024 for harassment and creating a hostile work environment. Now, he claims that he was wrongly labeled as an independent contractor and added more color to his claim that he was forced to watch her have sex with another woman in a car, per documents obtained by Meghann Cuniff. He referenced lyrics from her 2024 track “Best Friend” which was on Megan: Act II.
“Ayy, two red bones kissin’ in the back seat/ Girl, don’t stop, keep goin’ and relax me/ You want me to join in? Then ask me/ I like girls that like girls, that attract me,” she rapped. The amended lawsuit claims that she “relished” the situation. Additionally, he accused Meg of throwing a television remote at his head while they stayed in a hotel room in 2022.
Megan Thee Stallion and her legal team responded to the lawsuit last year. “This is an employment claim for money — with no sexual harassment claim filed and with salacious accusations to attempt to embarrass her. We will deal with this in court,” they told Page Six.
In an official response, they called Emilio Garcia a “con artist” who was “manipulating the judicial system to act as his publicist and bullhorn.” They continued, adding “Plaintiff took a run of the mill wage and labor dispute governed by New York law under the terms of his contract and trumped it up with sensationalist claims of sex, debauchery, and workplace harassment for the sole purpose of seeking attention for his own middling amateur artist career and to tarnish the reputation of [Megan].”
Garcia’s lawyer told HipHopDX: “This is just another attempt by another celebrity to shame the victim and shift blame from their own abhorrent behavior. Her attorneys are correct, our client is angry, but not by being so-called exiled ‘from the inner circles of stardom.’ He’s angry because of how he was treated. Megan Thee Stallion broke the law. Period. No one is lying here but her.”
