The holiday season is here, which means there is an abundance of engagements and weddings for many of our favorite reality TV stars. Now, it has just been announced that Braunwyn Windham-Burke, formally of The Real Housewives of Orange County, has tied the knot with Jennifer Spinner.
As fans may recall, Braunwyn joined RHOC in 2019 for the show’s 14th season. However, she was only a part of the series for two seasons before being fired. At the time, she was dealing with her sobriety and has admitted that it wasn’t the best time to be on a reality show. Since leaving the show, she has moved to Tennessee and gotten a divorce after being married for 23 years.
According to PEOPLE, Braunwyn, 47, and Jennifer, 40, tied the knot on December 4th at their home in Tennessee. Apparently, this was what the couple called a “last minute” wedding, as they initially planned to get married in October of 2026. However, they moved up the date due to the political climate in Tennessee and not knowing if same-sex marriage would remain legal in the state.
This small ceremony was attended by the notary who legalized the union as well as five of Braunwyn’s seven kids. It’s unknown if Braunwyn’s daughter Rowan Windham-Burke attended as the two have publicly feuded in recent years. But back in July, Braunwyn hinted that her relationship with Rowan had taken a turn for the better.
Jennifer had this to say about the wedding, “This is just about us and us saying, ‘You know what? We love each other. Let’s do this. And then when we actually have the big wedding, we won’t be as stressed out, and we’ll be like, ‘This is just a party with our friends.'”
Things were so last minute that Braunwyn found a dress on Amazon that she could get with next-day shipping. Jennifer wore a suit from Bloomingdale’s
Notably, Braunwyn and Jennifer plan to have more wedding ceremonies in Guatemala, California, and New York in 2026. From the sound of things, these future celebrations will be much more lavish than the simple wedding they had at their home.
Regarding the legal need to move up the wedding, Jennifer said they “just wanted to be legally protected and hopefully grandfathered into any changes that happen.”
According to Braunwyn, “This is just making it legal and giving us those protections that we need as a queer couple living in the south.”
Of course, Braunwyn and Jennifer began dating in 2022. It was Braunwyn who proposed to Jennifer in July of 2023 to celebrate their first anniversary. Then, months later in October, Jennifer decided to propose to Braunwyn. The couple had a ring exchange on New Year’s and an unofficial wedding ceremony in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day.
Jennifer said this about their union, “It’s not just a protest … Obviously we’re really privileged in a lot of ways, and we’re not just like every other couple that’s doing this, but we have kids that we’re raising together and we have ex-partners that we’re trying to co-parent with, and I think that we need the protections and the rights that marriage offer, and unfortunately, we’re not on our own timeline because the government is deciding that timeline for us in some ways.”
Of course, this comes after the former RHOC star has been open about the difficulties of co-parenting with her EX and saying that he owes child support.
Congrats to the happy couple. Fans can watch Brawnwyn on RHOC on Peacock.
