Being James Bond is one of the greatest honors an actor can achieve in the film world. After Daniel Craig, who starred in five films from 2006 to 2021: 'Casino Royale' (2006), 'Quantum of Solace' (2008), 'Skyfall' (2012), 'Spectre' (2015) and 'No Time to Die' (2021), a new era opens in the saga of agent 007.

Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the producers in charge of the new project, have yet to announce who will be in charge of playing Bond, but one of the former 007 agents has already said who his favorite choice is.

This is Pierce Brosnan, Craig's immediate predecessor, who made four films in the franchise between 1995 and 2002: 'GoldenEye' (1995), 'Tomorrow Never Dies' (1997), 'The World Is Not Enough' (1999) and 'Die Another Day' (2002). For him, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the perfect James Bond.

"He got the profile, in terms of age and experience. He's got the physical prowess, the charisma, the language. He would be terrific," Brosnan said on 'The Ray D'Arcy Show', as he worked with him on 'The Best' (2009). "He was the best in it," he said. "So, yes, I read the news about his chances of being Bond, so I'd take my hat off to the mate," he said.

In fact, Taylor-Johnson referred to this possibility in Rolling Stone magazine: "I can only speak to the things that I'm going to show and tell. I don't feel like I need to be defined by a future. I feel like: anything that's going to cost me, I can do better".
