Qualcomm’s first batch of Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones have been launched in China, and it’s expected that these flagship devices will soon be launched in India. Realme has confirmed the GT 7 Pro as the first 8 Elite-powered smartphone in India, while iQOO has announced the upcoming launch of iQOO 13. This highlights the potential launch of several Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones in India.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, which was rebranded from Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, was unveiled last month. It has some fascinating features, and numerous smartphone companies, including OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo, and iQoo, launched their products in China last week, powered by the current flagship processor.

Smartphone manufacturers often steer clear of releasing smartphones around the end of the year since your gadget will be a year old. Instead, they typically launch in China during this period, but all January releases are moved to November and December. Therefore, it’s important to be aware that a lot of smartphones will soon be released in India before you rush to get the newest flagship for sale.
iQOO 13
A recent Amazon teaser confirmed India availability of iQOO 13. The exact date of the launch is yet to be confirmed.
iQOO 13 was recently launched in China. The smartphone features a 6.82-inch 2K BOE Q10 8T LTPO 2.0 OLED display with 1,440 x 3,168 pixels of resolution. The display has up to 144Hz refresh rate and HDR support. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The handset operates on OriginOS 5 with Android 15 out of the box.
The iQOO 13 sports three rear cameras: a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens. It has a customisable “Energy Halo” LED for dynamic effects and 12 colour options. The front camera uses a 32-megapixel sensor.
The iQOO 13 has a 6,150mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging. The phone incorporates an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for safety.

Realme GT 7 Pro
Realme GT 7 Pro is likely to launch in India in the upcoming weeks of November. The device is confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The phone is expected to be offered with up to 24GB of LPDDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. It may run on Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0. The upcoming handset is likely to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with 6,000 nits of peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
OnePlus 13
OnePlus 13 India’s launch date is not confirmed; the device is likely to launch by January 2025. But rumours suggest that the company might bring it to the Indian market in November or December.
The OnePlus 13 has a 6.82-inch Quad-HD+ LTPO AMOLED screen with 1440×3168 pixels of resolution. The BOE display features an adjustable refresh rate (1Hz-120Hz) and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The screen has a pulse-width modulation rate of 2,160Hz for low-light scenarios. The smartphone runs ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15. The global model will be accessible in OxygenOS 15. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC is powered by an Adreno 830 GPU. The device includes up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The OnePlus 13 has a triple rear camera arrangement customised by Hasselblad, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. It also comes with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device comes with a 6,000mAh battery, 100W Flash Charge (wired) and 50W Flash Charge (wireless), and allows reverse wired and wireless charging.
Xiaomi 15 series
Similarly, the Xiaomi 15 series also made its debut in China last week. The company has not yet announced the India launch date.
The new portfolio comprises two models: a vanilla and a Pro variation. Both variants have an IP68 water and dust-resistant certification. The Xiaomi 15 features a 6.73-inch 2K OLED display, whilst the Pro variant has a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED display with 2K resolution. The series runs HyperOS 2 and has a Leica-tuned triple back camera system with a 50-megapixel main sensor.
Asus ROG Phone 9 series
Asus ROG Phone 9 series global debut is confirmed to take place on November 19. The India launch date is yet to be announced.
The 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen of the ROG Phone 9 is said to include Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and a maximum brightness of 2,500 nits. It has 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU. In addition to a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls, the phone is anticipated to have a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700 main, 50MP macro, and 13MP ultra-wide angle lens. Additionally, a 5,800mAh battery with 65W rapid charging capabilities is anticipated.
