Plies Shares a Post-Election Message: 'This Is Exactly Who We Are'

Plies has shared a post-election message, expressing disappointment with the outcome and expressing support for anyone feeling demoralized.

"[I] wanted to jump on here real quick, man, and check on y'all and make sure y'all was good," he opened the two-minute video, which he recorded in his car. "If I could hug each and every one of y’all who needed a hug, and let you put your head on my shoulder and just let you get off what you needed to get off, God knows I would."

He said that despite the election outcome, with Donald Trump returning to power, people should stand by their beliefs. "Don't for a second allow yourself to question your beliefs and what it is that you stand for," he continued. "Just because some results didn't go how you foreseen them to go, it doesn't mean that you wrong about anything."

While he's not happy about Trump winning the election, he suggested that it was a true reflection of the United States of America, for better or worse.

"One thing this election did teach me, is something that [Trump] knew… Character no longer matters," he said. “This whole notion of ‘America, this is not who we are,’ no, this is exactly who we are. Again, I’m a firm believer in God don’t make mistakes. And I know at some point in time, he will reveal why this went the way that it did."

Plies, a noted critic of Donald Trump, officially endorsed Kamala Harris for president last month with a track entitled "Mrs. 47," which opens with him recalling how his grandmother reacted when she saw Barack Obama take office. Before that, he predicted that Joe Biden would drop out of the presidential race and endorse Kamala for president, which would leave Trump "scared shitless."
