"He changed my life on Christmas f**king Eve, and I will forever be grateful."
Post Malone is paying it forward with his riches. Music Mayhem reports that Posty visited a local Houston establishment called The Railyard Bar on Christmas Eve 2024, where he had some festive fun with his friends, including Shaboozey.
As the night ended, the “Congratulations” artist took it upon himself to spread some holiday cheer by way of a $20,000 tip left for a single mother working at the bar. The woman in question was identified as Renee Brown, a 36-year-old single mom who works two jobs, loves her kid, and never stops, à la Reba McEntire.
Brown told the outlet that she had no idea that the superstars were at the dive bar at first, and was more worried about being away from her 9-year-old daughter on Christmas Eve. However, curiosity took over, and she went outside to see the acclaimed acts enjoying themselves. “I initially didn’t realize he was there until one of my coworkers from my second job came inside and told me that [Post Malone] was outside on the patio,” she recalled. “I thought he was kidding with me at first, then I kept seeing people go outside [and] I kept making drinks for like 30 minutes before curiosity got the best of me, and lo and behold, he was there.”
“Going into work Christmas Eve, I was so sad I had to leave my baby girl to go to work. Oblivious that God would send me a Christmas miracle,” Brown continued telling the outlet. “This is hands down the most humble, personable celebrity I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He changed my life on Christmas f**king Eve, and will forever be grateful. Thank you so much, Austin.”
Later in her interview with the outlet, Brown detailed what she plans to do with the money, admitting that things “have been extremely difficult.” But now, with her “Christmas miracle,” she can finally change her life and adequately care for herself and her daughter.
“This put me in a position to at least be able to get a way back and forth to work and pay up on rent and save a bit,” she concluded. “I’m trying to save up to start a business, so I don’t have to continue working two jobs and be able to spend more time with my daughter. Things have been extremely difficult, and this was truly a blessing that I can’t fully put into words. The visit alone was absolutely amazing and something I could talk about and remember for the rest of my life.”
It should also be noted that the next day on Christmas, Post Malone and Shaboozey had a show in Houston, where they appeared as guest acts during Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed NFL Netflix performance.
