Prime Target on Apple TV+ release, cast, episodes in Leo Woodall series

Prime Target, the thrilling new series, is set to land on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, January 22. The eight-part drama will release episodes weekly every Wednesday, with the first two episodes premiering together, reports the Mirror.

The grand finale is scheduled for Wednesday, March 5.

The plot revolves around a maths prodigy who accidentally discovers a formula which could potentially break all digital security worldwide.

His quest to understand prime numbers triggers chaos, attracting the attention of various international intelligence agencies.

The series features an international cast, including White Lotus and One Day star Leo Woodall as Cambridge postgraduate student and mathematical genius Ed Brooks.

Rising non-binary actor Quintessa Swindell stars opposite as government agent Taylah Sanders, known for their roles in Euphoria, Trinkets, Black Adam, and Voyagers.

The cast also includes Irish acting legend Stephen Rea from The Crying Game and The Shadow Line as House Master of Darnell College Professor James Alderman.

David Morrissey of Sherwood, The Walking Dead, and State of Play fame portrays Ed's supervisor Professor Robert Mallinder, with whom he shares a strained relationship.

Sidse Babett Knudsen, internationally recognised for her roles in Borgen and Westworld, plays Mallinder's wife, Professor Andrea Lavin.

The cast of the new drama series is star-studded, featuring veteran American actress Martha Plimpton as Taylah's boss Jane Torres, who recently appeared in HBO's The Regime and A Town Called Malice.

Other notable cast members include Jason Flemyng from The Missing and Snatch as Stephen Patrick Nield, Game of Thrones' Harry Lloyd as Andrew Carter, Ali Suliman as Dr. Akram Nizar, Northern Irish actor Fra Fee as barman Adam Mellor, and US stage heavyweight Joseph Mydell as Professor Raymond Osborne.

The ensemble also includes The Durrells' Daisy Waterstone as fellow Cambridge student Fiona Carey, British actress Sofia Barclay as Safiya Zamil, Tom Stourton as Ricky Olson, Tom Byrne as Tom Grayson, and Emily Renee as Charlotte Lambert.
