A royal expert has stated that Prince Harry is "heartbroken" over the possibility that his children, Archie and Lilibet, may grow up without knowing their relatives.

Royal commentator Duncan Larcombe suggests that Prince Harry is "heartbroken" over the possibility of his children not growing up around the Royal Family. He implies that while Meghan Markle has achieved her goals, Prince Harry has only fulfilled some of his, as detailed in Woman magazine.

Despite his fulfilling role as a "loving father and husband," Mr Larcombe believes Harry has not achieved much else.

The ongoing debate about Harry's security arrangements has sparked speculation about his potential return to the UK with Archie and Lilibet, especially after reports that the Sussexes bought a property in Portugal, reports the Express.

Duncan said: "Meghan's dreams have all come true, but what about Harry's? He is now richer than he was, even more famous and surrounded by celebrity hangers-on rather than the group of trusted people who called friends."

Furthermore, he points out: "The major change for Harry is having two children in his life and being able to play the role of loving father and husband, something he has always wanted.

“Though aside from that dream achieved, there is arguably little else he has really gained."

The last time the pair spent Christmas with the Royal family was back in 2018, a few months after their wedding

Ultimately, Mr Larcombe highlights Harry's difficult and poignant dilemma: "No matter how he might try to protest, Harry will be missing his family and friends back in Britain and will be heartbroken that his children are being brought up without knowing the relatives he left behind."

Throughout 2024, reports and comments have been filled with speculation about Prince Harry's longing for the UK and his efforts to rebuild relationships with the Royal Family.

The biographer remarked: "As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK."

He further added: "Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles. He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don't get on with Meghan."
