WWE Hall of Famer Jarrett had teased a major announcement for AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen, leading fans to believe he might be retiring.

However, when he entered the ring with his boots in hand, Jarrett made it clear that wasn't the case. After reflecting on his career, including his launch of TNA in 2002 alongside his father Jerry, Jarrett contemplated whether it was time to ride off into the sunset. His answer? A resounding "hell no."

Instead, Jarrett revealed that he had signed a new deal with AEW, but this would be his final talent contract as an in-ring competitor.

He wasn't done yet—he had one last run in him, and he was setting his sights on the AEW World Championship. To make that clear, Jarrett declared himself for the Casino Gauntlet Match on the January 8 episode of Dynamite, firmly placing himself in the hunt for AEW's top prize.

The Casino Gauntlet match kicks off with two wrestlers, and every few minutes, another competitor enters, much like the Royal Rumble.

However, unlike the Rumble, the match ends as soon as a pinfall or submission occurs, meaning the action could be over in just a few minutes if the first two participants are able to settle it quickly. The match is a fan favorite thanks to its fast-paced nature and the thrill of unexpected entrants revealed by the countdown clock.

AEW has held four Casino Gauntlet matches so far. Will Ospreay boasts an undefeated record, having won all three of his appearances, while Christian Cage secured victory in the one match he competed in.

Backstage, Jarrett discussed his decision with his wife Karen, Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, and Sonjay Dutt, who questioned whether he was certain about continuing his career.

Jarrett promised to give everything he had in this final chapter, focusing on the AEW World Championship. He wasn't interested in the Tag or Trios titles; his sole goal was the world title.

With his entry into the Casino Gauntlet Match, it was clear: Jarrett's final ride had begun, and nothing would stop him from chasing that gold.
