PS5 Pro launched in the global market; India pricing yet to be announced

Sony PlayStation 5 Pro has finally made a debut in the global market. The console was officially announced by Sony in September 2024. As claimed by Sony, the PS5 Pro is the most advanced and innovative console hardware dropped in the market until now.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is available in the United States for $699.99 which roughly converts to 58,750. In the European Union, the latest console is being shipped at a price of EUR 799.99 which converts to around Rs 72,668 as per the Indian currency.

And the price of the console varies from region to region. Apart from that, the customers will be supposed to buy the attachable disc drive (if needed), for $79.99 and the vertical stand for $29.99. You can purchase the same from the official PlayStation website or authorised retailers in your city.

As of now, there has been no confirmation regarding the pricing and launch date of the console for the Indian market. However, speculations are that Sony will soon announce both things because India as a market for gaming consoles can’t be slept on.

PS5 Pro specifications and feature

The PS5 Pro has got some serious hardware upgrades and it comes with the AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU. Sony has also offered RDNA graphics along with 16.7 teraflops of GPU compute performance. It includes 16GB GDDR6 storage coupled with 2GB DDR RAM. Additionally, you also get to see a 2TB custom SSD in the console which is two times the storage space we got to see in its predecessor.

That’s not it, PS5 Pro also packs enhanced ray tracing capabilities that allow the console to produce super-realistic reflection and lighting effects in a game. It also brings the AI upscaling tech (termed PlayStation Super Spectral Resolution or PSSR) that uses machine learning to deliver better image quality.
