With Halloween just around the corner, many of us are already stocked up on pumpkins - but rather than carving it into a lantern, why not turn it into a soup?

While many of us have been revelling in the spooky festivities for some time, Halloween will soon be a thing of the past.
And that means one thing for us Brits - a surplus of leftovers. The temptation to indulge in the remaining sweets and chocolates may be strong, but it's not the wisest choice if you're on a weight loss journey.
If your aim is to tone up, you might want to consider incorporating pumpkin into your diet. This humble vegetable can enhance your health and assist with weight loss.
Surprisingly, pumpkins are excellent for shedding pounds as they are low in calories and high in fibre. A cup of pumpkin contains roughly 50 calories, while 100g of raw pumpkin has just 26 calories.
Additionally, every 200g of pumpkin provides one gram of fibre, which aids digestion and helps to suppress appetite, making it an ideal addition to your diet.
Jo Wuensche has shared her simple three-ingredient weight loss soup recipe, which she describes as "sweet and delicious". She confessed she lost "so much weight" by regularly enjoying this comforting dish, which requires minimal effort to prepare.
According to Jo, all you need is a whole, sliced pumpkin, two chopped onions and four cups of vegetable broth. Simply combine everything in a saucepan and let it cook for 20 to 30 minutes.
Once cooked, blend everything together to create the soup.
Jo explained: "It's extremely creamy and also super sweet. If it's too thick for you, you can put water in. But it's amazing how simple it is, and how good it is."
