Queen Camilla shares 'secrets' with one royal which Prince Harry does not approve of

Queen Camilla has reportedly earned the "admiration" of her sister-in-law Princess Anne, according to a royal expert.

Her Majesty received an Honorary Doctorate of Literature on 20 November, and it was Princess Anne who proudly presented the award at the University of London.

The event marked a seldom-seen joint appearance for the two high-profile members of the Royal Family. As Chancellor of the University of London, Princess Anne, 72, officiated the ceremony at the Senate House building in Bloomsbury.

In a moment that highlighted their robust connection, she invited 77-year-old Camilla to the stage to inscribe her name in a register before being handed the honorary degree, followed by a formal photo session, OK! reports.

Recognised for her ongoing commitment to promoting literacy and literature through Royal duties, Camilla's portfolio includes numerous charitable patronages and founding The Queen's Reading Room book club.

The shared engagement between Camilla and Anne has drawn commentary from former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond, who suggests the occasion provides evidence of the genuine recognition between the two women.

Bond explained to OK! Magazine: "Yes I think Camilla has earned her sister-in-law's admiration, just as she has won the respect of many people in the country. This was an unusual moment for both women, and I think it showed their mutual respect. Camilla and Anne have known each other for a very long time."

Camilla joined the Royal Family officially when she married King Charles, now 75 years old, in 2005, and has since diligently carved a distinguished role within its ranks.

She elaborated on the "history" the two women share and how they will exchange "secrets" through mutual trust. Jennie added: "You have to remember that Camilla was married to Andrew Parker Bowles, who was once a boyfriend of the princess. They share a lot of history and probably a lot of secrets."

The former BBC Royal correspondent pointed out that it might have been "tricky" for Anne to see Camilla assume the role of Queen following the death of her mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

However, Anne recognises the "tremendous support" Camilla provides to her brother Charles. The expert added: "It may have been quite tricky for both of them to adjust to the new situation with Camilla becoming the senior royal and, indeed, taking on the role of Anne's beloved mother.

"But I think Anne has seen what a tremendous support Camilla is to Charles: the King is certainly lucky to have two strong women either side of him, supporting him in his work and caring deeply about his welfare."

While Camilla has won over many of the Royals, Jennie observes that she's yet to win favour with stepson Prince Harry. She concluded: "It's not easy being a second wife, a stepmother, a step grandmother, or a commoner stepping into the royal goldfish bowl.

"Camilla has done it all and, for almost all the family, with the exception of Harry and Meghan, she is loved or at least well-liked and has become a key player in the institution of monarchy."
