In an era in which everything is getting revived or rebooted, it’s perhaps no surprise that Parks and Recreation fans have been eager for a revival of the beloved Obama-era sitcom. Rashida Jones, one of the show’s stars, has already made it clear that she’s as eager to do a revival any time.
The show, which wrapped up its run in 2015, flashed forward to 2025 in its final episode. “Wait, were we in 2025 in the end? That’s so crazy,” Jones said in speaking with Gold Derby. Mike Schur, who co-created the series with Greg Daniels, would ultimately be the person deciding whether the show should come back.
“Oh man, I hope sometime soon,” Jones said of a potential revival. “I know Mike Schur was like, ‘There has to be a reason for us to do it. We can’t just do it.’ But I would love that.”

The show’s final episode hopped through time, visiting the show’s core cast in 2017, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2025, 2035 and 2048, which does make the potential of revisiting the world of the show a little trickier.
Schur, though, has said in the past that he might be open to returning to the series if the right idea presented itself.
“I felt the show had an argument to make, and the argument was about teamwork and friendship. I don’t feel like we left anything on the table. I would never ever say never. The chance to do it again, should it arise, would be incredible, but we would only do it if we all felt like there was something compelling us to do it,” Schur told Variety. “If one single person said no, we wouldn’t do it.”
The cast did reunite in 2020 for a virtual special during COVID, but no formal revival has been announced yet.

Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man 4 has a new release date
Last fall, Marvel Studios and Sony confirmed that Spider-Man 4 will be coming in summer 2026. However, there's been a slight change in plans. While the original release date for the next Spider-Man was July 24, 2026, it's now been pushed back to Friday, July 31, 2026.
No official reason was given for the change, but The Hollywood Reporter noted that this will give Spider-Man 4 some additional breathing room from Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which is slated to arrive on July 17, 2026. Tom Holland is actually going to be in both movies, but the extent of his role in Nolan's film has yet to be revealed. Holland has been the MCU's Spider-Man since Captain America: Civil War in 2016, and he's also starred in a wildly successful trilogy of Spider-Man films.

Hawkeye co-star Tony Dalton says he’s back for Daredevil: Born Again
Tony Dalton played a fearsome villain on Better Call Saul, but the veteran actor had a considerably lighter role as Jack Duquesne in the Marvel Studios original series Hawkeye. Now, Dalton has confirmed that he'll be back as Jack in Daredevil: Born Again.
Via Total Film, Dalton shared an Instagram Story with a picture of himself from Hawkeye alongside an image of Jack Duquesne's comic-book counterpart, The Swordsman, with the logo for Daredevil: Born Again on top of both pics. He also wrote "It's on!," but didn't elaborate beyond that. It's also unclear if Dalton meant he will appear this season, or in the second season that will begin filming soon.

‘Peaky Blinders’ creator says he expects parts of Rey ‘Star Wars’ script to make the final cut
In a franchise with as many moving pieces as Star Wars, it's perhaps not a huge surprise that many of the projects set in this universe churn through quite a few writers. When a spin-off movie focused on Daisy Ridley's Rey was first announced, Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson were brought in as the film's writers. They left the project in March of 2023, and Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight was brought in after them.
