It was improbable that the Baltimore Ravens would have their top receiver for Saturday's wild-card game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but now there's confirmation.
Zay Flowers has officially been ruled out for the contest per NFL insider Tom Pelissero.
"#Ravens WR Zay Flowers (knee) is out for Saturday's game vs. the #Steelers," Pelissero said on X.
Flowers was still experiencing soreness from the knee injury he sustained in Week 18 and was listed as a non-participant in practice this week.
He left the action early in the Ravens' dominant 35-10 win over the Browns.
Following the game, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh stated that Flowers would have an MRI on Sunday and expressed optimism that the injury might not be severe.
"It's something that he has a chance to be OK with, but we'll probably have more details after an MRI tomorrow morning," Harbaugh said.
Fellow NFL insider Ian Rapoport had already reported that Flowers was "a long shot to be able to play this weekend" on "Good Morning Football" Wednesday.
