Karen Huger is best known for her role on The Real Housewives of Potomac, but the reality star could now be about to head to prison after being convicted of a DUI and DWI
A legendary Real Housewives star could be facing prison for drink driving.
Karen Huger, who stars in The Real Housewives of Potomac, was convicted of driving under the influence following an incident that took place earlier this year. It comes as the latest series of the show continues, with fellow star Ashley Darby saying there is a "code of ethics" the ladies follow.
Ashley and her co-stars supported Karen on the show following the revelation of her DUI, whilst also holding her accountable for her actions. Now, the star, who has been a stalwart of the show, has been found guilty on all but one charge against her.
According to People, Karen was convicted on most charges against her, but was spared a conviction on a count of reckless driving. A hearing to determine her sentencing is now scheduled for January 29 next year.

In a statement following the ruling, Karen's lawyers said they were not happy with the verdict from the jury, but accepted their result. "Although we are disappointed in the jury's verdict, we of course respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case," attorney A. Scott Bolden said.
"We continue to reserve Mrs. Huger's right to an appeal and intend to fully pursue justice on her behalf," he added. "We appreciate your support and prayers for Mrs. Huger and her family at this time."
The incident took place when Karen had crashed her car - a luxurious 2017 Maserati - in Potomac in the state of Maryland on March 19 this year. According to officers, she had been driving in an "aggressive manner", which prompted officers to follow her.

Karen was not arrested following her accident, but was alleged to have committed six different violations of the traffic code, such as negligent and reckless driving and driving with a suspended registration plate. At the time, the violations accrued individual fines ranging from $50 to $510.
However, following an investigation, Karen was later charged with driving under the influence (DUI), and driving while impaired (DWI). While a first-time offence can land someone a $1,000 fine and a jail stint of up to a year, this is not Karen's first crash.
In 2016, Karen told BOSSIP that she had pulled over into an area where she was not meant to park, but was found by police. After she was questioned by officers, she was later given a DUI, pleading guilty when appearing in court in connection with the offence.
During her crash in March, her car eventually hit two signs and a median in the town of Potomac, before totalling the car. A tow truck was eventually called to the scene to retrieve the wreckage of the car following the accident.
