They're one of the most iconic couples in pop culture history, but the marriage of David and Victoria Beckham has previously been rocked by shocking affair allegations.
Back in 2004, David's former personal assistant Rebecca Loos sold a scandalous story to the now-defunct News of the World, claiming she and the England star had shared a steamy night of passion together shortly after he was transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid.
Rebecca, whose allegations quickly catapulted her to household name status, had been assigned to look after David, now 49, during his 2003 transfer. According to Rebecca, now 47, she and David first became intimate after a group night out, which led to a four-month illicit affair. The Beckhams have always denied this story and have previously opened up about how it affected their relationship in the four-part Netflix series Beckham.
Now media personality turned yoga teacher Rebecca has spoken out once more about the rumours in an explosive new interview. Here, the Mirror takes a look at Rebecca's affair bombshells, including the apparent olive branch she recently extended to Spice Girl Victoria...

During their chat, podcaster James said to Rebecca: “You have to take accountability. You slept with a married man.” Rebecca then admitted: “I’m no angel,” to which James responded: “You’re gonna get s***. It’s understandable.”
Glaswegian broadcaster James then noted the number of reality show appearances Rebecca had signed up for after her affair claims made headlines, including The Farm and Celebrity Love Island. With this in mind, James posited: “But you then created this celebrity lifestyle as well. You lapped it up.”
Rebecca replied: “The funny thing is, I got the s***, Victoria [Beckham] got the s***, David f****** never got any s***. That’s the world we live in.” When asked whether "that upsets her", Rebecca recalled: “That made me want to keep [saying] ‘hello, this is unfair’. [It] didn’t upset me, it’s the world we live in.”
Hotel 'lie'

Rebecca told podcaster James: “The first night I stayed with him in his hotel, I expected [he’d done this] with many girls. He’s a football player, and the way he looked at girls [was telling].”
She remembered: “And I did say to him, ‘You must do this so often, you can have whoever you want’.” Recalling David's alleged reply, Rebecca continued: “And he just looked at me and said, ‘I’ve never done this before, you’re the first’.”
She then divulged: “I fell for it hook, line and sinker. I felt on top of the world. But that didn’t last long. Two weeks later, I saw a different side to him.” Rebecca claimed: “He met someone else.”
'Amazing lover' confession

Remarking upon their alleged "chemistry", she stated: "We were just locked into each other all night conversation-wise, other people noticed… we just connected. I think the chemistry between David and I was so strong… people were aware, and they weren’t very happy."
Waitress 'turning point'

Author Bowe wrote: “The turning point for Loos was realising Beckham’s double standards. After a meal for SFX employees at Madrid’s Hard Rock Cafe, Beckham did not leave a tip. The following day, the waitress gave Loos a note for Beckham. "Explaining that she survived on the tips, she expressed her anger that someone as famous and rich could be so mean.
"After reading the note, Beckham was alarmed. 'Give her this', he said, handing over a thick wodge of euros. Reflecting in February about how Beckham had played her and lied to her, Loos was angry. “
One demand for Victoria

PA)During her sit-down interview with Sky, Rebecca revealed she had one demand when it came to Victoria - that she not be treated with any sympathy. Rebecca explained: "I don't expect any sympathy from her whatsoever. I think it's bad enough for me to do what I have done without me expecting any words of sympathy.
"I really hope that they get through it. I think the problems were in their marriage long before I came into the picture. I in no way intended to break up their marriage, especially when there are young children involved. I hope they stay together."
Football legend David has always vehemently denied the rumours surrounding himself and Rebecca, which he has previously referred to as "ludicrous". Issuing a statement when the allegations first arose, the then 28-year-old said: "During the past few months, I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life. The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts."
Touching upon this painful period in their 2023 doc, some 20 years later, Beckham revealed: "I don't know how we got through it in all honesty. Victoria is everything to me. To see her hurt was incredibly difficult. But we are fighters. And at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family. And what we had was worth fighting for. But ultimately, it's our private life."
Mirror Online has previously reached out to David and Victoria’s reps for comment.
