Actress Rebel Wilson's beloved pet cat has been rescued as the Bridesmaids star shared her shock over the raging LA wildfires.

Rebel, 44, has a home in Los Angeles with her wife Ramona Agruma, and their daughter Royce, two, in the wealthy neighbourhood of the Hollywood Hills, where many have had to evacuate. As celebrities share updates on how they've been affected by the mass blaze, the actress revealed a pal rescued her beloved pet cat from the fires.

Rebel shared the news as she reposted a photograph of the violent fires in West Hollywood on her story and penned above: "can not believe this. Thank you Ornela for saving our cat." The original post came from her friend Ornela's account, which she had captioned with the moving words: "This is West Hollywood, we are not ok. If you have room, dm me and I can connect you with people who need it."

It has not been reported whether or not Rebel and her family are currently in LA, or still spending time Down Under with her family.

Around 10,000 more people may be evacuated from the area as five separate fires continue to rage across LA, with 1,000 buildings reported to have been totally destroyed so far. Five people have tragically died in the fires. Thousands of people have lost their homes as the blaze continues to spread so, but Rebel didn't specify in her post if her own home had been engulfed in the blaze.

Many celebrities who call the City of Angels their home have spoken out about the devastating wildfires, which have claimed the homes of household names like Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mandy Moore, and iconic actor Anthony Hopkins.

Mandy Moore wrote in a moving post about the loss of her home: "Honestly, I'm in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family. My children's school is gone. Our favourite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together."

In December, the actress posted that she had legally tied the knot with Ramona in a sweet ceremony back in her home of Australia, during which she revealed her sister Liberty acted as the officiant, and her grandmother, 94 was in attendance. Rebel posted a carousel of sweet photos of the big day, which saw the actress and her wife beaming from ear to ear.

Rebel captioned the selection of photos of the happy newlyweds and family snaps "My sister Liberty officiated our legal wedding in Sydney! It meant my 94 year old grandmother Gar could come which was very special to us to have her included and just felt right to do it in my hometown".
