2024 has been the year of premium as well as budget smartphones. Now that we are entering 2025, several smartphone manufacturers are planning to unveil their mid-range phones. Recent reports suggest that Xiaomi is all set to launch their next budget smartphone dubbed Redmi 14C 5G. The company shared a teaser poster on X (Twitter), not mentioning the name of the phone. However, we speculate the phone could be. the upcoming Redmi14C 5G.
The official tweet from the brand reads, “Kick off the New Year with a bang”, with a poster image stating ‘2025G.’ The upcoming smartphone could arrive around early 2025. The Redmi 14C 5G is expected to be the successor to the Redmi 13C, which was launched last year in December.

Here’s What We Know So Far About Redmi 14C 5G:
The Redmi 14C 5G was spotted on Geekbench with the model number 2411DRN47I with a score of 917 in the single-core round and 2,182 in the multi-core round. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen chipset with 8GB RAM. It might run on the Android 14 out of the box.
Other reports suggest that the Redmi 14C could be a counterpart of the Redmi 14R launched in China in September. The Redmi 14R 5G comes with a 6.88″ display, Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, 5160 mAh battery, 256 GB storage, and 8 GB RAM. It has a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front camera. It runs Android 14-based HyperOS.
Redmi 14R 5G is priced at 1,099 yuan, roughly Rs 12,825. It comes with additional features such as a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM capability, microSD card support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a single speaker. It measures 171.88 x 77.8 x 8.22mm.
