On Sunday, Kylie Jenner made a surprise appearance at the 2025 Golden Globes in a glittering vintage gown that paid homage to another iconic plus one. Accompanying boyfriend Timothée Chalamet, the beauty mogul opted for a silver chainmail dress plucked from archives of Atelier Versace’s Spring 1999 collection. The slinky piece, featuring a daringly low back, plunging neckline, and intricate floral appliqué details, evoked the same sensual glamour of Elizabeth Hurley’s pink version from the CFDA Awards in 1999, where she stole the show while on the arm of her ex, Hugh Grant.
Jenner, 27, modernised the look slightly with her signature loose, cascading curls and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, which added an extra dose of sparkle. The dress was a bold choice but kept the spotlight on Chalamet’s nomination for his starring role in A Complete Unknown.
During the ceremony, Jenner kept a low profile, skipping the red carpet and remaining seated at Chalamet’s table alongside the actor’s co-stars, Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro. However, the evening wasn’t without its challenges. In a candid moment captured by photographers (see here), a split in the gown’s side seam was spotted during a group photo with Dakota and Elle Fanning, revealing a small tear on Jenner’s left thigh.
Ever the professional, though, Jenner remained unbothered, gracefully enjoying the evening’s festivities.
While her tablemates joined the dance floor, Jenner stayed seated and took in the room. The couple, who were first romantically linked in January 2023, shared intimate moments throughout the evening, including a quick kiss that photographers managed to snap.
Jenner’s choice to forgo the red carpet may have kept her arrival understated, but the stunning gown, torn or not, ensured her presence was known.
