The longtime girlfriend of Mauricio Umansky’s father Eduardo Umansky filed a restraining order against the 81-year-old, accusing him of abuse. Mauricio, the estranged husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, has faced legal disputes with the girlfriend since last year.

Back in October, Mauricio and sister Sharon Umansky Benton filed to put their dad under a conservatorship. They claimed in court docs that his girlfriend  Simin Tabibnia was taking advantage of Eduardo, who wasn’t able to resist “undue influence and fraud.” The court granted the siblings’ request to be the conservators of Eduardo’s finances.

Sharon also filed for a restraining order against his girlfriend, alleging she was “abusive to him” and isolated him from the family. Additionally, the sister accused Simin of hitting her in September.

Simin then filed a petition for a restraining order against Sharon. The girlfriend asserted that Sharon was the aggressor. Sharon was granted a permanent restraining order against Simin, who must stay 100 yards away from her.

Now, per court docs via In Touch, Simin, 68, has filed a petition to get an “elder or dependent adult abuse restraining order” against Eduardo.

Simin referred to the 81-year-old as her “ex-boyfriend,” and requested in court that he be ordered to keep 100 yards away. She accused him of abusing her in December of last year and included photos of her injury in her legal filing.

Simin included photos of her injuries in her legal filing which she alleges she sustained from abuse

“I am afraid of [Eduardo],” said Simin in the filing, noting that they had been in an 18-year relationship. “During that time, I endured ongoing physical, verbal and emotional abuse. I now fear for my safety due to [Eduardo’s] actions.”

“[He] physically abused me on multiple occasions resulting in injuries,” continued Simin, who alleged he hit her in the arms, face and legs, and pushed her down to the ground before choking her. In the petition, she provided pictures of the alleged injuries.

“These incidents have left me not only physically injured but also emotionally injured,” she claimed. “[His] violent outbursts appear to be triggered by alcohol consumption and interactions with his family … Often, immediately after speaking with his daughter, Sharon Umansky Benton, he becomes enraged and attacks me.”

“[He] has a long history of verbal abuse, frequently using demeaning and profane language toward me in public and in front of others,” she added. “He has repeatedly told me to ‘shut the f–k up,’ among other degrading remarks.”

According to Simin, she thought that her ex’s behavior would stop after Sharon filed for an “elder abuse” restraining order for Eduardo against Simin, with the claim that she was “abusive.”

“Around 10 years ago were the first signs of threats and abuse but it was difficult to understand exactly what was happening. Around August or September 2022 was when things began to escalate,” alleged Sharon in the filing. “My father started having bloody arms and bruises. She would hurt him, when he would grab her arms, she would bruise and then threaten to send him to jail for abuse. As his daughter, I am trying to protect him from living out the rest of his life under duress.”

Sharon claimed she has videos showing the abuse.

“We have known about some of the abuse including verbal threats, sexual manipulation, physical violence and filed a police report but my father is a battered boyfriend and has early signs of dementia and refused to press charges for fear of the threats that Simin has posed on him for many years,” asserted Sharon. “[Simin] financially has manipulated [Eduardo] with threats, violence and sexual favors for money.”

But in Simin’s response, she strongly denied the accusations, and claimed Sharon only recently got involved in Eduardo’s life – for financial reasons, she believes.

“[Sharon’s] claims that I am physical abusive are also untrue and ironic. For a long time, I have endured a lot of violent physical abuse from [Eduard],” claimed Simin, who asserted that she hid her wounds, though two physicians have seen the injuries. One of the doctors, she said, advised her to call 911, and the other suggested that she leave him.

Sharon was granted a temporary restraining order on Eduardo’s behalf, and a hearing to determine if it will be permanent is scheduled for February.

Simin claimed the situation has worsened since the court granted his temporary restraining order.

“[Eduardo] has been relentlessly harassing me, calling me and texting me over 100 times since the restraining order was filed, and often, and multiple times a day. These calls are continuous and persistent, with the most recent calls occurring December 4, 2024,” she said.

Simin alleged that his family has also texted her “threatening to call the police and have me arrested if I answer any of [Eduardo’s] calls or text messages. These threats have caused me immense stress and fear.”

Sharon provided an alleged message that her brother Mauricio texted to Simin’s daughter: “I am sorry to have to say this and write this text to you. Regarding your mom and my father, I want to remind you and her that she cannot be speaking to my father. We are aware that my father is calling her, despite this she is still picking up when she is not allowed to. We Don’t want to but are prepared to bring this to the police if this continues. Please make sure she is aware.”

Simin expressed, “I am 68 years old and feel powerless against the Respondent’s ongoing harassment and his family’s threats. I do not want to risk incarceration from the Respondent’s relentless attempts to contact me. I am in desperate need of the court’s protection to stop the Respondent’s abusive behavior.”

Eduardo has not yet responded to Simin’s request for a restraining order.
