Dorit Kemsley opened up about her friendship with Teddi Mellencamp after an Instagram post made waves on Tuesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
After Garcelle Beauvais, 58, called out Dorit, 48, for reposting a video shared by Teddi, 43, from one of her dad John Mellencamp‘s shows, claiming it didn’t make sense since she had denied they were friends, Dorit explained why she and Teddi were not “good [friends]” as Kyle Richards, 55, and Erika Jayne, 53, insisted they were. Plus, Sutton Stracke, 53, revealed that she’ll “never” be friends with the former RHOBH cast member.
“I wouldn’t categorize Teddi and I as good friends. I didn’t say that we weren’t friends. In fact, I didn’t even know up until that point that Teddi was mad at me until Kyle told me that she was sour about me not defending her at BravoCon. I had no idea, so, that was a shock to me,” Dorit admitted on the December 10 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.
According to Dorit, she felt that because Teddi had posted and tagged her, there was “no bad blood” between them.
“It felt like, okay, she’s promoting her father’s upcoming tour,” she explained. “And, you know, I have zero [issues] with reposting it.”
While Dorit believed she was doing Teddi a favor in reposting about John’s show, Erika felt she had ulterior motives, saying Dorit shared the post on her page “because she looked good.”
“She looked good and she was with John Mellencamp,” Kyle agreed. “Thank God Dorit Kemsley was helping John Cougar Mellencamp.”
Continuing on, Kyle pointed out that Dorit’s post also confirmed she was in Las Vegas on a girls’ trip with Teddi.
“You were invited … with her dad and brought up on stage because you are friends,” Kyle stated. “So she kind of shot herself in the foot with that one.”
“They are friends … We’re all friends with Teddi, whether you like it or not,” Erika added. Kyle further noted that Dorit had thrown Teddi a baby shower at Buca di Beppo years prior.
Although Erika suggested everyone was friends with Teddi, Sutton confirmed she was not.
“I will never be friends with her. Because I don’t think… Because… just because,” she declared.
In her own segment, as she looked back on her drama with Dorit, Garcelle explained her confusion with Dorit’s hypocritical behavior.
“We go from Dorit saying she’s not friends with Teddi, and that night, she reposts a video of Teddi talking about her dad has a performance. That’s such a hypocrite. Just two minutes ago you were saying you’re not friends with Teddi. Why would you repost that?” she asked.
Meanwhile, Dorit accused Garcelle of having “a bee in her bonnet about [her].”
“When Garcelle interjected the night before, I turned around to Garcelle and had said, ‘It’s no secret that you don’t like me.’ When someone already has made it abundantly clear that they don’t like you, that they have a problem with you, that they’re looking to find fault, of course they’re gonna jump on any bandwagon,” she noted.
