Vicki Gunvalson may have hung up her Real Housewives of Orange County crown, but she still doesn’t fail to amaze fans. The Bravo legend appeared on the “Viall Files” podcast on Wednesday, December 4, and left cohosts Nick Viall and Natalie Joy speechless with her hot mic moment after the interview.
The former Bachelor, 44, and his wife, 25, promoted the episode with a clip of Vicki’s ruthless comments while she was still logged onto their virtual video call. “That was a favor to her dad. He’s got seven million views,” Vicki, 62, told her boyfriend, Michael Smith, of the unknown woman. Meanwhile, Nick and Natalie were visibly shocked in the studio alongside their crew.
Vicki continued, “I was a guest on his show. He’s got his own network, his own show, his own thing. I’ve never heard of him.”
Nick and Natalie rolled with the punches when they debriefed the unintentional public diss, which got Natalie to break a sweat.
“I just started sweating so incredibly bad. I’m not going to lie. She is an icon,” Natalie said. “I am not OK. That gave me really bad anxiety. I was waiting for her to clock back in and be like, ‘Oh my God!’”
Nick, who is not shy to quip back, shared that he had “no breath” left in him.
After the teaser clip was shared via Instagram, fans and Vicki’s former costars enjoyed her antics in the comments section of the post.
“We’ve never had an interview like this. Vicki Gunvalson joins us tomorrow on The Viall Files,” the caption read.
“I am dying!!!” RHOC star Shannon Beador wrote with a few laughing emojis.
“Vicki is exactly who she is on camera as she is off. It’s incredible,” a fan commented, while a third person wrote, “Absolutely zero shame in her game. She fully reposted this to her story.”
Vicki’s comments may have had fans belly-laughing with enjoyment, but they were less than shocked at her conversation. Fans met her during season 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County in 2006 alongside former costars Kimberly Bryant, Jo De La Rosa, Jeana Keough and Lauri Waring. She became the last standing founding castmember, locking in 14 seasons under her belt before she was demoted to a friend ahead of season 16. She decided to leave the franchise, mostly due to her demotion, but she continued to appear as a friend.
“I felt very disrespected and I don’t deserve that. I give Bravo my life, all of my life, and I don’t fake my reality. My reality is crazy,” she said during Bravocon 2019. “On other casts, women have created storylines. I don’t create that. My life is my life, either you want it or you don’t.”
Vicki also made it clear that she is no friend of the Real Housewives of Orange County cast – she is the blueprint.
“Well, of course. I’m not ever gonna do anything. Some people called me a friend. I’m not no flippin’ friend,” she continued. “I’m a cast member that created this franchise, and I need to be respected. And if they don’t want me, I’m fine, but don’t disrespect me.”
