Dolores Catania would be happy to welcome past stars back to “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
In a video interview with Us Weekly in November 2024, the Bravo veteran addressed the show’s “pause” and rumors of a new cast following a volatile 14th season that filmed in 2023.
“If we are going to mix this up a little bit or at all, I would take anybody who has been on the show in the past— and I mean anybody,” Catania told the outlet.
She also shared that she still has not heard anything about her status on the Bravo reality show. “There is nothing, no different,” Catania said. “We would have filmed already, you know, like usually it’s May, June, July, August. Sometimes we film, we filmed up until November at one time. …We don’t have the most episodes but I feel like we have a long time with our filming. But they told us basically nothing in this year would we hear. We didn’t film, so if we didn’t film then we wouldn’t be airing coming up in 2025. So, it’s sad to me, it’s like I feel like it’s a breakup. It’s horrible to me. I feel bad.”

Catania previously told Us she struggled to adjust to being away from the cameras. “It’s different. It kind of guts you a little bit. You feel bad. I miss what I did.”
The mom of two noted that in “a perfect world” the whole cast would be invited back for season 15. “I feel we’re an ensemble cast,” she said. “I would like for us to all come back, but that’s not up to me.”
In addition to Catania, the 14th season of RHONJ starred Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Jennifer Aydin, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda, with “friends” Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler.
Andy Cohen Hinted Casting is in the Works
Months before Catania said she’d welcome past cast members back, Bravo producer Andy Cohen explained a “Watch What Happens Live” cameo by former RHONJ star Kathy Wakile that took place in July 2024. The estranged cousin of Teresa Giudice was a main cast member from seasons 3 through 5 and later appeared as a “friend” in seasons 6 and 7.
“The speculation online was that it was some sort of subliminal signal or we were testing things to see how people reacted,” Cohen said on “Andy Cohen Live.” “There was no intention behind her visit besides seeing an old friend. We wanted to surprise Gary Janetti, who we know loves her and her cannolis. And so, we just thought it would be fun if we had a, you know, vintage housewife come through the door.”
He added, “Everyone is speculating that it was kind of a soft launch to getting her back. We haven’t even started talking about next season. We want this one to end, let it sit, and then we will get into it.”
In October 2024, Cohen spoke out on his Sirius XM show “Andy Cohen Live” to reiterate, “We’ve made no decisions on the ‘Real Housewives [of New Jersey].”
But he hinted that work was being done behind the scenes. “We’ve done nothing. I mean, well no, actually we’ve done plenty,” he added, before shooting down casting rumors.
