Sai De Silva offered an update on where she stands with Brynn Whitfield and weighed in on her apology to her Real Housewives of New York City castmate during an “Ask Away” session on her Instagram Story on Wednesday.
As she also shared her status with her other castmates, including Jessel Taank, 45, Ubah Hassan, 41, and Erin Lichy, 37, and reacted to Rebecca Minkoff‘s recent departure from the show, and clapped back at rumors claiming she no longer lives in the Big Apple, Sai, 44, revealed the last time she spoke to Brynn, 39, confirmed whether or not they were still friends, and explained the meaning behind her apology.
“Are you [and] Brynn friends??” a fan asked Sai on February 5.
“We haven’t seen one another outside the show since 2023,” Sai replied.
Then, when another person wondered, “Where do you and Brynn stand?,” Sai said, “I can only speak for myself but I’m standing on business.”
Sai also clarified the reason behind her apology to Brynn, who felt attacked by Ubah in the finale episode.
“I was showing compassion and apologizing for the [sexual assault] trauma she experienced,” Sai stated. “I truly hope she focuses on her mental well-being.”
Someone else wondered if Sai was no longer living in New York City.
“Fake news. I live in Brooklyn, and I also have a home upstate,” she corrected.
Continuing on with her Q&A session, Sai revealed that she and Jessel are “good” and “went out last night” before naming Ubah as the cast member she hangs out with the most off-camera.
“Are you and Erin good? That was sweet of you to apologize and call it out!” wrote another fan.
“Yup! I can’t wait for our baby,” Sai replied, signaling Erin’s pregnancy.
Also during her “Ask Away” session, Sai was asked for her “thoughts on Rebecca leaving RHONY” by a fan who offered a potential bet, writing, “$100 you won’t answer this.”
“I think she should do what she feels is best for her. Do you need my Venmo to send me the funds??” Sai shared in response.
No word yet on when filming will begin on the potentially upcoming 16th season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
