Rihanna has encouraged her supporters to vote on Election Day with a funny video referencing the fact that she can’t vote.
The singer shared a video captioned, “POV: me trying to sneak into the polls with my son’s passport.” In it, she’s looking wistfully out the window — indicating that she wishes she’d be able to vote.
She added with the video, the hashtag "#votecauseicant" along with the message, “When protecting pussies and firing pussies can happen all in one vote." Rihanna was born in Barbados and moved to the U.S. in 2005. However, she has not changed her citizenship, according to People. Her sons, RZA, and Riot Rose, are both U.S. citizens.

If Rihanna could vote, she’d be voting for Kamala Harris because she’s been fiercely anti-Donald Trump over the years and she’s always shown her support for Democrats.
Rihanna isn’t the only high profile singer who’s made it clear how important this election is. Late last month, Beyoncé spoke at a campaign rally for Harris in which she gave a touching call-to-action for people everywhere to come to the polls.
“I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” Beyoncé said.
“A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we’re not divided.”
“Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations,” she continued. “We must vote, and we need you.”
Another high profile musical star that’s made it clear she’s riding for Harris is Cardi B who spoke out in favor of her at a recent campaign rally in Milwaukee.
“I wasn’t gonna vote this year, I wasn’t,” the rapper said. “But Kamala Harris joining the race, she changed my mind completely. I did not have faith in any candidates until she joined the race and said the things that I wanted to hear, that I want to see next in this country.”
Election Day is on Nov. 5, so make sure to exercise your voting rights.
