Robin Thicke faces one of his toughest moments as a parent: 'Stressful'

The Christmas season is already here, with families putting up their decorations and children writing their wishlist for gifts.

However, there is one aspect that is causing Robin Thicke some anxiety and that is the conversation surrounding Santa Claus.

While young children are all happy to get gifts from him, there comes a time when they are old enough to know the truth about Santa.

Thicke recently discussed the topic with Page Six at The Grove's annual tree lighting celebration in Los Angeles, and he detailed how he approached the conversation.

"The Santa conversation is a stressful conversation, especially when they get old enough to where the other kids at school [start finding out he's not real]," said Thicke.

"And if they go to school with kids of other different religions then the conversation happens a lot earlier."

Thicke, whose kids are son Julian Fuego, 14, daughter Mia Love, 6, daughter Lola Alain, 5, and son Luca Patrick, almost 4, said that he taught his children that "if you believe, Santa will come."

However, he admitted that only lasts about five or six years as sooner or later "the fantasy is over."

The middle son of the late Alan Thicke, Robin shares Julian with ex-wife Paula Patton. The two were married for 10 years.

After that Robin moved on with April Love Greary, and the two welcomed Mia to the world in February 2018. Lola was born in February 2019, and Luca joined the family the following December.
