Rogier Vivier, the storied Parisian footwear brand, is showcasing its latest collection of luxury footwear and accessories in a new short film starring award-winning actress Eva Green.
Vivier Express: 'Travelling Icons' is a series of whimsical short films imagined by Creative Director Gherardo Fellonil celebrating the Maison’s instantly-recognisable designs with a heavy dose of ‘campy overtones’. Felloni embarks the spectator on an adventure aboard the Vivier Express, a luxurious train reminiscent of a bygone era. The first of the short films starred award-winning actress Laura Dern who was joined in a first-class carriage by a handsome young man (supporting actor Miles Frank), who appears captivated by her beauty. There was tension in the air as their gazes met and her ‘I Love Vivier’ pumps almost grazed his buckled loafers. This time around, for episode two, BAFTA-winning Eva Green is suited and booted wearing a black suit centre stage. Her ensemble isn't complete without her striking red suede I Love Vivier heels and a Viv’ Choc bag.
Aboard the Vivier Express, Green is reading a book, pausing to read the passage: "To wear dreams on one’s feet is to give a reality to one’s dreams." These words were in fact said by Roger Vivier himself.
Actress Eva Green said: "It’s been my absolute pleasure to work with Gherardo Felloni. The first time I met him it was a complete ‘coup de foudre’ for the wonderful man and his beautiful shoes! "I was delighted to be cast in his film for Roger Vivier and I look forward to sharing it with audiences." Gherardo Felloni added: "Films noir have always fascinated me. It’s a world where shadows speak, and every glance hides a secret. I wanted Eva to be our modern-day femme fatale, because she doesn’t just wear the shoes and accessories; she brings them to life, infusing them with a sense of danger and desire."
