Rosie O’Donnell‘s troubled daughter, Chelsea O’Donnell, was released on $4,000 bond after spending over a month behind bars after being arrested twice in a matter of weeks, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court records obtained by In Touch, Chelsea, 27, appeared in court in Wisconsin on Tuesday, November 12. The court adjusted a previous bond that was set for Chelsea. In addition, the court ordered Chelsea to maintain “absolute sobriety” while out on bond.
The court docket read, “Defendant shall not possess/consume alcoholic beverages. Defendant shall not possess/consume any illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia/controlled substances without a valid prescription.” In addition, the court noted, “Defendant shall immediately report to the Sheriff’s Department for fingerprinting and photographing.”
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office no longer lists Chelsea as an active inmate. She had been locked up since her arrest on October 11.
Chelsea was ordered to appear at the next hearing scheduled for December 12.
As In Touch first reported, Chelsea’s legal troubles started back on September 10. The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from Chelsea where they heard arguing.
The police drove out to Chelsea and her boyfriend Jacob Nelund’s home. The officer said they observed Chelsea with dilated pupils. According to the police report, officers found a meth pipe with meth residue on Chelsea.
Later, they found a black vial-type container and a clear plastic bag with some white pills on Chelsea. “In the black vial was a white crystal-like substance that I know to be meth,” the officer wrote. Chelsea said the other pills were Alprazolam.
The police claimed to have found a marijuana pipe on Jacob.
One officer wrote, “The inside of the home was disgusting; throughout the house I saw rotten food, dirty moldy dishes, milk that stunk so bad it almost made me puke, dirty diapers, used female hygiene products, unclean underwear with feces and blood stains and used razor blades on the floor.”
He continued, “The living conditions in the house were horrible. I searched in the bathroom and did not find anything of interest. I then assisted with searching that downstairs bedroom that was Chelsea’s and Jacob’s. Deputy Veriha had located a used meth pipe and a gem bag with meth in it.”
The police said they found the baby sleeping inside one of the rooms. “Inside the bedroom belonging to Chelsea, where [the child] was initially found, there was a meth pipe, a gem bag with methamphetamine inside, a marijuana grinder, and another container with marijuana shake in it,” the report read.
Chelsea was arrested and charged with four felony counts of maintaining a drug trafficking place, child neglect, possession of methamphetamine and possession of THC. She was released on bond.
A couple of weeks later, on October 11, Chelsea was pulled over while driving around town. During the stop, police said Chelsea tried to throw a meth pipe into a river but it hit a fence and bounced back.
The police report said Chelsea had meth and pills on her. Chelsea was arrested and charged with three felonies of possession of meth, bail jumping, possession of narcotics and other misdemeanor charges.
Rosie, 62, spoke out about Chelsea’s arrest. “Sadly, this is not new for our family – Chelsea has struggled with drug addiction for a decade – we are all hopeful she will find her way out of this deadly disease,” the O’Donnell family said in a statement to In Touch.
Rosie adopted Chelsea with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter when she was a baby.
As In Touch previously reported, Chelsea has four children. Chelsea and her ex, Jacob Bourassa, had three children: Skylar Rose, Riley and Avery Lynn. Chelsea then had Atlas in October 2023 with her current boyfriend, Jacob Nelund.
