Ruth Langsford's getaway to Australia for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!'s spin-off show will be "therapeutic" and beneficial for her own healing journey, a relationship expert has claimed.
The 64-year-old was all smiles when she was pictured at London's Heathrow airport yesterday, ahead of her lengthy flight which is expected to land in Brisbane today.
Ruth will make her appearance on the Down Under show on Friday, in support of her Loose Women co-stars GK Barry and Jane Moore.
As well as being there for her ITV pals, Jesper Jensen, at ExpertsEnAmour, believes her overseas journey could also give her a "new sense of purpose and confidence" following her split from Eamonn Holmes.

The former couple announced they had separated after 14 years of marriage and are heading for a divorce back in May.
Although Ruth's trip to Australia is only temporary, Jesper says focusing on a new show away from home will be "incredibly therapeutic" amid recent media attention.
“Getting stuck into work, especially something exciting like this, could give Ruth a new sense of purpose and confidence.
"It won’t fix everything overnight, but being busy and trying new things can be a great way to start moving forward emotionally and rebuilding after such a big change," he added, exclusively to Express.co.uk.

Ahead of her flight taking off, the mother-of-one gave fans an insight into her journey on Instagram.
At first, she shared a picture of her three suitcases, joking that she "never could travel light".
Ruth then waved goodbye to London's grey skies at the airport as she sipped on some champagne for "Dutch courage".
More recently, she revealed she was landing in Dubai for a stopover before boarding her second flight.
Ruth's trip comes amid reports she is "dreading" her first solo Christmas in many years, while Eamonn is expected to spend the festive period with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander.
A source told OK! Magazine: "Ruth is dreading Christmas coming up, because it will be her first one apart from Eamonn - who could be spending it with his new partner.
“This Christmas means creating different memories.
"Ruth and Eamonn are positively co-parenting Jack (their 22-year-old son), but he’s at the age where he might want to do something different at Christmas, and that’s worrying Ruth."
