Ryan Reynolds' 'Deadpool & Wolverine' Deleted Scene Goes Viral

Ryan Reynolds fans have been left in fits, as the actor shared a hilarious deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine that had them begging "put it back in."

The superhero film has dropped on Disney+ and the actor marked the release by posting the previously unseen clip on X. The scene featured both Deadpool (Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and was as X-rated as viewers have come to expect from the franchise—with string of expletives—and fans loved it.

The clip rapidly went viral and within a day of the Hollywood star posting it on the platform it had already been viewed 6.4 million times.

In the scene, the comic book hero was surrounded by Deadpool variants as he delivered a heartfelt speech directed at Peter Wisdom (Rob Delaney). "My Peter gave me a sense of belonging when no-one else would," he cried. "From the diaphragm, yeah!" he roared.

After a brief pause, the people around Deadpool started yelling abuse, calling him a "loser" and shouting things like "p*** off" and "get f*****" at him and Wolverine. One of them—played by English soccer player Paul Mullin—then leaned in and made a rude gesture as he told Deadpool: "F*** off c***."

"This scene was deleted from the film but not my heart," Reynolds said as he posted it on X. "Deadpool & Wolverine is out on @DisneyPlus today."

Fans went wild for it, saying they wished the scene had been left in the movie. "WHY WAS IT DELETED?!" demanded one viewer. "PUT IT BACK IN!" pleaded another. "That scene is so weird as is, I knew you cut something. Add it in!"

"Would have won an Oscar with it in it," quipped one fan, as another remarked: "I wish you kept this in... The timing on that response makes this hilarious..."

"But I don't understand why it was removed," wrote one baffled fan. "Because you honestly should have kept it in." Somebody else noted that deleted scenes "are like hidden gems", adding: "Thanks for always giving us the best, Ryan!"

"I'll only forgive you for leaving this out when you release Deadpool 4," joked someone else.

Reynolds revealed earlier this year that Mullin was making a cameo in the movie. The footballer is a striker at Welsh club Wrexham, the team the actor co-owns. And in July he posted snaps on X of them together on set, with Mullin in costume as a Deadpool wannabe, as he said: "You may have noticed one member of the Deadpool Corps was far deadlier than the rest. WELSHPOOL."

Newsweek has emailed representatives for Reynolds for comment.
