Samsung’s One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, is not set to fully launch until early next year, but it’s clear Samsung is eager to release it as the company briefly posted an entire page breaking down the update on its website, right as another big leak reveals apps from One UI 7.
One UI 7 has been in development for quite a while, but the release date of the Android 15-based update has been delayed time and time again. That’s seemingly primarily because it’s a rather big update, but the delays are still rather frustrating.
Behind the scenes, though, it looks like Samsung is getting pretty close to a formal debut. As spotted by leaker @chunvn8888 on Twitter/X, Samsung briefly posted an entire breakdown on One UI 7 to its website in Spain before taking it down. The images and marketing materials were captured by the folks at Android Authority before Samsung removed them, and we can see a lot of the details we’ve heard previously.
New icons, an updated lockscreen, split notifications and Quick Settings, and, of course, more AI. The videos on this website are the same ones that leaked a few weeks ago, implying this page may have surfaced more than once.
The page also reiterates some things we’ve heard about Galaxy AI before, such as the ever-confusing line about it becoming paid in the future, as well as a list of supported devices. That list has nothing to do with One UI 7, though.
Beyond that, @GerwinvGiessen on Twitter/X posted what appears to be Samsung’s official apps as ripped from One UI 7 (apparently via the Galaxy Store). Screenshots of the leaked apps show various redesigns to the Calendar and its widgets, as well as a new Calculator app and a new Voice Recorder app. Through all of these, there are some obvious changes to Samsung’s design language, though it’s all still pretty familiar.
A beta release of One UI 7 should be arriving essentially any day now, but Samsung has been remarkably quiet on details.
