Samsung, the South Korean electronics giant, has begun to push out the One UI 7 beta upgrade. The latest software upgrade adds intuitive controls, AI-powered personalised mobile experiences, and more to its devices. The new version will be available in select regions, including India.

Samsung Electronics has launched the One UI 7 beta program, which incorporates powerful AI features, streamlined controls, and glimpses into future-scaled AI ecosystems. According to the company’s statement, the platform incorporates AI agents and multimodal capabilities into all touchpoints, resulting in an intuitive and natural experience. The beta program provides a first look at an improved mobile user experience with increased personalisation.

The Galaxy AI features have been enhanced with One UI 7, which includes advanced writing assist tools that increase productivity by allowing users to select texts without navigating between programs. These features include AI-powered options for summarising content, checking spelling and grammar, and automatically structuring notes as bullet points.

One UI 7 is intended to offer improved call capabilities such as 20-language support and automatic transcription of recorded calls for future reference, hence improving communication and connection and reducing the need for manual note-taking when multitasking.

Aside from this, One UI 7 has a new notification system called Now Bar. The method simplifies communication and allows users to quickly access important notifications from the device’s lock screen. Now Bar displays relevant activities such as Interpreter, Music, Recording, and Stopwatch, avoiding the need for frequent device unlocks. Now Bar, which will be available on next Galaxy S series handsets, will revolutionise the lock screen experience and grow to provide more intelligent experiences.

The simplified home screen, updated One UI widgets, and lock screen provide users granular control over every detail, making customisation easy and seamless.

The camera UX has been revamped to provide more intuitive management over advanced settings, including reorganised buttons, controls, and modes. The manual settings structure has been simplified for Pro and Pro video modes, allowing for a more focused shot. In Pro video mode, a new zoom control has been added to allow for smooth transitions. The new design improves the user experience.
