Samsung is reportedly adding one more weapon to its AI arsenal as found in the latest patents of the brand. According to a report published by 91Mobiles, a patent has been filed by Samsung that is for the approval of a background that changes based on time and the weather of the day. Apart from that, the company has also filed patents for smart glass and a gaming handheld as well.
Samsung AI-based background changing wallpaper
Samsung has filed the patent in the United States Patent Application Publication. It shows that the background in the wallpaper changes automatically depending on the time of the day like afternoon, evening, night, dawn, and morning.
In addition to that, the same can also detect weather and change the background to foggy, sunny, cloudy, snowy, and even rainy. One of the patent images shows that the feature will also push out an alert like ‘carry an umbrella’ if it detects rain. What’s more, is that there are also images that show seasonal variations as well.
Talking about how the same will work, Samsung will rely on Generative AI which will read the image/background, identify the areas where time or weather changes can be applicable, and then generate a modified image with the changes to the original wallpaper and apply the same on the device. The same will be done automatically whenever a change in the weather or time is witnessed. The feature will definitely make the user interface more interactive for the users.
As of now, the feature is just a patent but chances are that the same will be seen in the next versions of One UI 7. Speculations are that we will get to know more about the same once Samsung starts teasing it officially.
