Actress Saoirse Ronan is going viral for her response to Paul Mescal's joke on The Graham Norton Show.
The 30-year-old Lady Bird star clapped back at Mescal's comments about using a mobile phone as a weapon in self-defence.
"Who is actually going to think about that? If someone actually attacked me, I'm not going to go 'phone'."

He added: "Sorry mum, one second. BANG."
"That's a very good point," Fantastic Beasts star Eddie Redmayne said.
But without skipping a beat, the actress replied: "That's what girls have to think about all the time."
"Am I right ladies?" she added to cheers from the audience.

Ronan appeared on the show alongside Mescal, Redmayne and Denzel Washington.
"The silence 😭 she gagged them so badddd," one person wrote underneath a Tiktok video.

Talking about self-defence, another added: "One we probably don't have pockets and are already holding our keys in our knuckles."
Mascal is busy promoting his new film, Gladiator II.
It comes after it was revealed just three months ago that Ronan secretly tied the knot with partner Jack Lowden.
The pair met on Mary Queen of Scots back in 2018, but have kept their relationship mostly under wraps in recent years.
Entertainment Tonight confirmed the news of their wedding after finding the marriage in the register of Scottish civil marriages. They tied the knot in Edinburgh.
