Two beloved School of Rock cast members were married on Saturday, 23 years after they met on the set of the beloved 2003 film.

Caitlin Hale, 33, who played Marta — also called “Blondie” in the movie — and Angelo Massagli, 32,who played Frankie, were joined by a number of their co-stars on the special day.

Hale and Massagli were just 10 years old when they starred in the Richard Linklater film about an amateur rock musician impersonating his substitute teacher friend, and creating a band with his students.

The pair stayed in contact within a long-running group chat as they moved away from acting — Hale becoming an Ob/Gyn sonographer and Massagli a music product counsel lawyer for TikTok — and reconnected while studying in Florida, they told The New York Times.

“Special thank you to everyone who contributed to an unforgettable day!” Hale wrote in a social media post on Thursday, sharing images from the wedding.

Jack Black was not in attendance at the Park Château Estate & Gardens event in East Brunswick, New Jersey, but the star reportedly sent the couple a message congratulating them on their marriage.

Another cast member, Kevin Clark — who played young drummer Freddy Jones — was also missing from the event.

Aleisha LaNae’ Allen, who played Alicia in School of Rock, remembered Jones, who was fatally struck by a car while riding his bike in Chicago in 2021, in a social media post featuring the wedding night.

“All heartbeats synced to the rhythm of Kev’s drums,” she wrote.

Hale and Massagli got engaged in June at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, after moving to Brooklyn in 2019, according to The New York Times.

Though their relationship as children “wasn’t romantic”, Massagli told the outlet that it “really cut through some of those early relationship hurdles.”

They began to catch up for dinners and catch-ups more regularly due to their proximity, and Hale told The NYT that she was quick to notice when feelings had changed between them: “I knew very early,” she said.

“I actually said to one of my close friends, I remember being in an Uber on the way down to Miami one weekend and we were going out and I was like, ‘I think I’m gonna marry this guy,” Hale told the outlet.

When Massagli said to Hale, “I think I love you”, she told NYT she replied: “You think?!”

Hale told the outlet that the wedding celebration with their old co-stars, a “time-capsule moment.”
