Air fryers revolutionise the way we cook as they speed up the cooking process of simple recipes - think crispy jacket potatoes and scrumptious chicken curries.
These kitchen wonders aren’t just about speedy meals, they also make dishes healthier as use don’t need to use any oil with them.
TV chef Jamie Oliver has a wide range of tasty air fryer recipes - and one of them is his homemade scones.
Jamie’s cheesy, chive-packed scones take 10 minutes to prepare, cook in 12 minutes and result in a “super easy” snack that could well become your new tea-time staple.
On his website, he said: “Let me show you how well you can bake in the air fryer this is a brilliant little recipe that I know you’re going to love.

“These savoury scones are absolutely delicious crispy and golden, but also fluffy inside and you can knock them together really quickly."
And Jamie doesn’t shy away from urging a bit of adventurousness in the kitchen: “Serve with soup, salad or as part of a ploughman's lunch. And once you’ve given these a try, why not take them in a different direction or give a sweet version a whirl the possibilities are endless.”

Cut the butter into cubes, then use your thumbs and forefingers to blend it into the flour mixture until you've got small pieces about the size of cornflakes.
Grate approximately 100g of the cheese, finely chop and add in the chives, then give everything a good mix.
Make a well in the middle, pour in the milk, and combine it all into a soft, dry dough (use your hands if necessary, but try not to over-mix), adding a bit more milk if needed.
Turn out onto a surface dusted with flour and quickly shape the dough into a 3cm-thick round, then cut into six triangular portions.
Brush the tops of the portions with a bit of milk, then grate over the remaining cheese and sprinkle with a hint of cayenne pepper.
Coat the inside of the air fryer drawer with one tablespoon of olive oil, place in the scones and cook for 12 minutes at 180C. You might need to do this in batches.
To serve with the scones, mix the cream cheese with a good few gratings of lemon zest in a small bowl, then drizzle with one tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil and season with black pepper.
