Seth Meyers on Monday breathed a huge (spoof) sigh of relief following a set of particular comments that President Donald Trump made about free speech during his second inauguration speech.
Trump promised an executive order “to immediately stop all government censorship and bring back free speech to America” and said that “never again will the immense power of the state be weaponized to persecute political opponents.”
“Phew-hew-hew-hew, woah!” said Meyers, whom Trump only last week ranted about as being a “moron” on his Truth Social platform.
“Because I‘ll admit I was worried about this show for a hot second,” the “Late Night” host sarcastically continued. “But now, knowing that you’re a man of your word, full steam ahead.”
