Brandi Glanville is opening up about the recent health battle that has seen her dominating headlines.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been candidly updating fans on changes to her face after posting a selfie in December 2024 that showed her looking disfigured.

Glanville's health issue is shrouded in mystery. After spending over $US70,000 (approx. $112,719) to find a resolution, she suspects she has a parasite, but the medical condition remains unknown.

"Honestly, I have so many doctors and I've had so many tests," she told Entertainment Tonight last year.

"They ran every test under the sun. They're like, 'It could be a parasite that's new.'"

"I've been on meds this whole year. I don't socialise. I don't go out and I'm just spending all of my money on trying to figure out what's wrong with me.

"This is a horrible thing to say but even if it's like a tumour, I want to know. I want to have just an answer. That would be amazing."

When the television personality shared the makeup-free selfie in December, fans were immediately concerned, which prompted Botched star and plastic surgeon Dr Terry Dubrow to get involved.

"Some Dr.'s say I have a parasite that jumps around my face. Some say it's stress induced edema. I personally say it's Bravo," Glanville posted in response to the outpouring of speculation that followed her first post.

A Real Housewives star himself, Dubrow offered to help Glanville get to the bottom of the health issue, working with her over the past few months.

"I saw one of her interviews and I've seen the picture of her, the one where she is swollen, the one where she is really deflated with the irregular skin," the surgeon told TMZ.

"Here's the thing, here's what Brandi really needs to focus on… and it's not her fault, it's her doctor's fault. Brandi needs a diagnosis.

"She's like a ticking time bomb. Every minute that that microorganism is allowed to stay in her skin and do potential damage, she could suffer worse for it."

"It could be more difficult to treat and she could form more scars and more nodules. So, Brandi needs a diagnosis. She probably needs a surgical intervention to get a piece of tissue and figure out what's going on."

In January, Glanville shared that Dubrow had taken four biopsies to discover the root cause of her facial issue.

"Yes guys @DrDubrow took 4 tiny biopsy's from my face and neck so we can continue to get better 💕ez pz no pain I was in and out on 30 minutes now we wait🙏🙏🙏🙏," she wrote, then.

The 52-year-old shared a video on her X account. It shows her vigorously shaking while using a lymphatic drainage massage Dubrow hopes will relieve her facial pain, reduce fluid build-up, and help stimulate blood flow.

"I will shake for the rest of my life if this thing gets out of my body," she said in the video.

Glanville explained why she thought she contracted the issue: "Ok so about 5 years ago the boys & I had black mold poisoning from a toxic house we lived in we got a six figure settlement buuuuuut this is CRAZY! I'm on my emphatic drainage machine. ⁦@DrDubrow⁩ let's get this f—er🙏."

Dubrow responded to the post, writing, "On it."

Glanville suspects the health issue stems from her time filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco.

"We had food sitting out for hours on end and some of it was meat," she alleged to Entertainment Tonight.

"Six months after I got back from Morocco, I started having this speaking thing and the swelling up thing. It started in July and we're still here trying to figure it out."

Glanville detailed the horrific experience of feeling the supposed parasite move in her face, saying, "tiny bubbles bursting" on her skin.

"I feel like it's s---ing or having babies in my face," she added.

While the cause of Glanville's symptoms remains unknown, the star is working with Dubrow and medical professionals to heal.
