Shaboozey, Tyla, And More Take Over 2024 Billboard Music Awards: Photos

The annual Billboard Music Awards went down last night (Dec. 12) and this year’s top players and shakers in the music industry received their recognition for their achievements. The event was hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau and featured award celebrations taking place around the world.

Highlights from the 2024 BBMAs include a stellar performance from Tyla,  who delivered energetic renditions of “PUSH 2 START” and “SHAKE AH” joined by Optimist Music ZA from a pop-up Amapiano party in London, with creative direction by renowned choreographer Tanisha Scott. Shaboozey handled duties as the show opener with a performance of his massive hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which won two BBMAs for “Top Country Song” and “Top Selling Song.”

Taylor Swift took home the most trophies of the night with 10 wins including the coveted “Top Artist,” “Top Female Artist,” “Top Billboard 200 Artist,” “Top Hot 100 Artist,” “Hot 100 Songwriter,” “Top Streaming Songs Artist” and “Top Billboard 200 Album.” First-time BBMAs winner Teddy Swims grabbed his hardware for “Top Hot 100 Song” and “Top Radio Song,” and he also performed his new single “Bad Dreams” and hit song “Lose Control.” Cece Winans accepted her awards for “Best Gospel Artist” and “Best Gospel Song.”
