The duo broke the internet just three days into 2024.

Shannon Sharpe brought Katt Williams onto Club Shay Shay just three days into 2024, and the incendiary interview is still discussed to this day, with many people call it the catalyst for what they have labeled the “year of hate.” Well, the NFL Hall Of Famer recently teased the possibility of them running it back as the one-year anniversary of their internet-breaking conversation draws near.
The Friday After Next actor recently spoke at New York Magazine’s Vulture Festival and claimed that he held back the “knockout blows” he initially prepared for his specific targets. Naturally, Sharpe and his Nightcap co-host Chad Ochocinco discussed this admission.
“That’s believable,” Ocho said. “I’m not sure how he knew, but those of you that watched the Katt Williams interview, if you think about everything he said, and dissect and go back and listen to everything he said that was going to happen in the year, you notice everything did happen.”
“I don’t know how he knew or who he talks or what inside information he might have, but everything he said, it came true,” Chad Ochocinco continued. He mulled over the fact Katt Williams said he “held back” and that he intentionally wanted to jab his target instead of throwing haymakers. “So there’s some truths to everything that he knows […] He could have, I’m assuming, he could have ended careers.”
Shannon Sharpe used that as an alley-oop to drop a bombshell. “There’s a possibility that you might hear the haymakers very, very soon,” he said. “But uh, he said he wrote it. I can tell you this: he’s been writing more material.”
Ocho responded, half-heartedly manifesting that he won’t get caught in the crossfire. “Uh oh, uh oh. Well, there’s one thing: as long as I ain’t in there, I’m good. We good,” he joked. If the former Cincinnati Bengals star does end up being a victim of a Williams barrage, he will have some time to prepare after what Sharpe said next. “January the 3rd 2025 is right around the corner,” he said. “That’s all I’mma say about that.”
Katt Williams threw shots at Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, Cedric The Entertainer, Rickey Smiley, Chris Tucker, and more in his Club Shay Shay interview, yielding responses from many of his targets. The interview was almost three hours, which makes his recent comments at New York Magazine’s Vulture Festival almost difficult to fathom.
“I was trying to do something there that hadn’t been done,” he said of the interview, which sits at over 83 million views. “I thought that I had figured out the algorithm mathematically and I thought that I could show that. When I wrote it out, I wrote it out to kill the careers of the people that I was talking about. But it was so vicious that I erased all of the knockout blows and just left the jabs so that the comic I’m talking about knows that ‘I know your real story, motherf**ker. Imma tell this, but you know what else I know.'”
