Shaughna Phillips has revealed that her boyfriend, Billy Webb, is expected to be released from prison just in time for Christmas.
The Love Island alum, 29, confirmed in July that she and Billy, 30, were back together after briefly splitting when he was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
He was later sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply 4.5kg of cocaine, but according to Shaughna, his sentence has been cut short.
Taking to Instagram, the star who shares one-year-old daughter, Lucia, with Billy, shared the news in a short but sweet update during an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session with her followers.
Upon being asked why she shares ‘so much’ of her life but ‘so little’ of her love life, Shaughna acknowledged it was a ‘fair comment’ and continued to say it wasn’t her intention.
‘I do try to speak about Billy more now,’ she wrote. ‘There’s certain questions I don’t answer because I feel like the answers are already out there if people want to know?’
The star went on to say she doesn’t like to ‘give life’ to ‘certain topics’ and said she, Billy and their family are trying to ‘move on with our life’ and deal with what has happened ‘the best we can’.
‘Thankfully that chapter of our story is soon going to be over. My relationship with Billy is one where I’m happy, secure and content, and that’s all I’ve ever wanted, and all I ever want for Lucia.’
Shaughna added that as for why she doesn’t share pictures with her partner, she said ‘I’m not allowed to currently’.
‘Billy should be spending Christmas with us, and we can’t wait’, she wrote with her fingers crossed emoji.
Signing off the story, she told her followers that she hopes it answers their questions ‘and doesn’t leave you more confused than before’.
Shaughna and Billy began dating in April 2022, and announced that they were expecting their first child just a few months later in October.
Billy was arrested in January 2023 with the Metropolitan Police confirming to Metro.co.uk that he was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: ‘On Friday 20th January, officers arrested a male on Kentish Town Road NW5 after recovering a quantity of Class A drugs.
‘A search of a nearby address led to further Class A drugs being recovered, including Cocaine and MDMA.
‘Billy Webb was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs on 21 January.
‘William Bowen was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug on 21 January.’
They added: ‘Webb was remanded at court to appear at Southwark Crown Court on an unspecified date. Bowen was bailed at court to appear at Southwark Crown Court on an unspecified date.’
It’s unclear exactly when Shaughna and Billy split, but just one month after his arrest, she broke her silence, telling OK! that ‘the baby’s father isn’t around’ and she was trying to focus on coming a mum.
She also said on her Oh Baby podcast with Holly Connolly: so I was 30 weeks pregnant and just come back off of holiday. I was actually doing a Love Island podcast, believe it or not. Ironic. I got a call to say that Billy had been arrested and that, kind of weirdly, my life kind of changed then.’
