She Did It Again! Hilaria Baldwin Goes Viral For Forgetting English Word For Onions!

¿Que hora es? Time for one of our favorite celebrity scandals of the past five years to come back and say buenos dias!

Back in 2020 we still had fun Baldwin family escándalos — like when everyone discovered Hilaria Baldwin was faking her whole Spanish heritage/accent thing! Yes, people who knew Alec Baldwin‘s yoga instructor wife growing up revealed to the world she was actually born Hillary Hayward-Thomas, a white girl from Boston, whose parents had been in this country for several generations and were not Spanish AT ALL. Her parents were just rich enough to buy a home and retire there. But Hillary didn’t grow up in Spain, she spent some summers there as a kid. She went to American schools, all the way through high school. She is an American girl. Period.

This shocking reveal — considering how Hilaria presents herself, with that thick accent and everything — led many to accuse her of perpetrating a Rachel Dolezal-style grift in which she presented herself as a different ethnicity. Presumably to make herself more appealing to rich movie stars?

Hillary has kept this up a damn long time. She and Alec gave all their kids traditional Spanish names and everything. Wild.

The funniest moment of the whole thing, the… how you say… rock bottom? Was when she “forgot” the word for “cucumber.” In a cooking segment, Hilaria brazenly appeared on Today to make an “authentic” gazpacho. And while listing the ingredients, she actually said the words:

“How do you say it in English? Cucumbers!”

The accent going in and out. Hilarious. (And if you read that word in her accent, we can be friends! LOLz!)

Well, a few years after that whole thing blew over… and was replaced with a much darker Baldwin storyline… she’s back!

Hilaria appeared in another cooking video, this one on someone’s social media originally, and she DID IT AGAIN! We couldn’t believe it! But when talking about cooking a “traditional” Spanish dish, she once again implied it was from her family tradition:

“I learned this from when I was a kid, don’t look it up online because you’ll learn something different.”

And yes, she says all this in a thick accent — and we don’t mean that “pahk the cah in Hahvahd yahd” Boston thing. But even more ludicrously, she once again “forgets” the English word for a common food! She says:

“My husband hates cebollas… Cebollas?”

She points, leading her friend to save her by reminder her the word “onions.” She thanks him and then once again says cebollas like she just can’t remember all these darn English words… Watch!

Oh man. That was fun. Back to the dumbest scandals for a minute. What a blast from the… what’s the word in English again? Oh right… PAST!
