People have been left enraged and offering advice after a parent revealed what disheartening message a teacher wrote on their daughter’s assignment
When it comes to school we can all have vastly different experiences for a variety of reasons.
When you think of teachers, you would hope they would be understanding, knowledgeable and inspiring.
"Children are the future" is the saying after all.
Who better to enrich the young minds coming up and finding their place in the world than people who take joy nurturing children.

Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case, as many people know.
Reddit user Careful-Total-3216 shared an image of a comment a teacher allegedly left on their 11-year-old daughter’s homework showcasing that not all teachers are the inspirational and supportive sort.
Posting on the mildlyinfuriating board on November 15, they captioned the image: “My 11 year old daughters teacher wrote this comment on her homework.
“I'm absolutely flabbergasted and angry. This after my daughter just competed in gymnastics nationals a month ago.”
The image shared showed the user’s daughter wrote 'To go to the Olympics for gymnastics. To be a perfect gymnast,' under the hopes and dreams section of the assignment.
The teacher harshly commented in a red pen: “Will never happen, sorry : (“
Social media users took to offering advice on what steps the parent should take next.
“You can get a teacher reprimanded for that s***. Bring this to the principal. I’m being so serious. Crushing hopes and dreams is for life to do, not the elementary teacher. This teacher needs a reality check,” one person commented.

Another added: “Talk to your kid as well. Point to that note and tell her - it's time you learn some teachers don't know jack. Prove her wrong.”
A third commented: “I would absolutely escalate their bitter soulless a**, whether it is realistic or not is besides the point even if the instruction read “Realistic life goal” they’d be [jerk].”
Another wrote: “That teacher is a jacka**. When I was in first grade, my teacher told me multiple times that I was bad at math.
“I believed her because I was six. I believed that until the last part of college, when I finally HAD to take calculus for my major and I had put it off until my senior year. Professor for Calculus 2 asked me to be a math major… turns out I have a mind for math. I hope the girl in the post wins Olympic gold.”
Some people also did point out that this might simply be a fake post used to enrage people for the sake of engagement.
Probably best to hope there isn’t a teacher out there willfully crushing dreams.
