Simon Cowell teases 'never seen before' feature on new show

Simon Cowell is reportedly still suffering from a "painful health condition" as he films the latest auditions for Britain's Got Talent. The music mogul returned to Blackpool to continue finding the latest talent the country has to offer.

Last year in February, Simon told his fans that he wasn't suffering from a "mystery illness" when he missed two audition episodes. Instead, he set the record straight and said that he wears red-tinted glasses to avoid migraines.

He shared previously on social media: "For anyone concerned, I missed two auditions at the end of one day, two weeks ago, because I do get migraines after long days in the filming lights.

"Next week we are filming BGT in Manchester – I look forward to seeing you then. PS. This is why I wear these glasses!"

Yesterday (07/01/25), Simon shared a selfie of himself alongside Amanda Holden, and it seems that he is still wearing his rose-tinted glasses.

The 65-year-old television personality, entrepreneur, and record executive is renowned for his TV talent shows including 'Pop Idol', 'The X Factor', 'Britain’s Got Talent' and 'America's Got Talent'.

He recently attended the funeral of Liam Payne, who was a member of the boyband One Direction. Judges Simon and Nicole Scherzinger put One Direction together during series seven of the talent show, The X Factor.

Liam first auditioned for 'The X Factor' in 2008 aged 14, but he lost out at the Judges' Houses stage of the contest, and he was told by Simon to "come back in two years".

He did just that and went on to be put into boy band One Direction alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.

Following Liam's death last year, 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions were postponed as a mark of respect.

Simon and fellow BGT judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and KSI - who was temporarily standing in for regular panellist Bruno Tonioli - were due to shoot auditions in Blackpool in October, just two days after filming for the new series got underway.
