Singer sparks concern after performing with oxygen tank and lashing out at Snoop Dogg

US singer Dave Blunts has sparked worry among fans after taking to the stage hooked up to an oxygen task.

The emerging rapper, 23, has been going viral for his outrageous lyrics and high-pitched voice, penning songs about the shenanigans of his small town, Davenport, Iowa.

His raps are anything but subtle, with his tune Hospital Bed telling the story of seducing a nurse and including lines like: ‘She gon’ suck it through the catheter.’

In his most recent gig, Blunts performed at Juice WRLD Day in Chicago, an annual event honouring the life and career of Juice WRLD, who died in 2019.

Eyebrows were raised, however, when Blunts took to his mic while sitting on a couch and with an oxygen tank just chilling beside him.

Wearing a purple tracksuit, the hitmaker also called out none other than Snoop Dogg, telling the 53-year-old rapper to ‘get off [his] d**k’ in a rather savage outburst.

‘Aye, Chicago! Do y’all have a problem with me sitting down on this stage?’. he yelled to the crowd.

When the packed audience chanted ‘no’ back to him, Blunts added: ‘Exactly. So, get the f**k off my d**k, Snoop Dogg.’

Blunts, famous for speaking his mind, also snapped: ‘I see the big dog talking. Snoop, you think you funny? You don’t know what it’s like to fight for your life every damn day.’

Addressing the oxygen tank next to him, he continued: ‘I got demons, and a tank to prove it. Don’t come for me when you have been blessed enough to be here that long; respect the struggle.’

Blunts’ jibes were a response to Snoop’s recent comments about his weight.

The hip-hop legend recently said on Instagram that Blunts’ needs to ‘put down the chicken wings and Tata chips’.

‘Nefew and that chair gon’ break soon get to the end of the cup’, he added, promoting Blunts to fire back on a public stage.

A clip of Blunts hitting back was shared on X and quickly did the rounds, accumulating over four million views.

Reacting, social media users expressed their shock at what they were seeing.

Some branded Blunts’ situation ‘sad’ to see him performing connected to the oxygen, while others called for an ‘intervention’.

‘People paid to watch this? Todays “HipHop” is trash’, wrote SamBK71.

User bj116 added: ‘I mean this in all seriousness, this probably one of the saddest thing I’ve ever seen.’

Meanwhile, amildmor branded the video a ‘morbid watch’, while yunglyd95 said that despite loving Blunts’ music, they feel ‘heartbroken’ seeing him in such a way.

During his set, Blunts paid tribute to Juice WRLD, whose death was caused by an overdose, having been close to the late rapper.

‘I do this for Juice. I do this for me,’ Blunts declared.

‘We keep going, no matter what.’

Following the emotional speech, he began a medley of his songs to an energetic reception of cheers and applause.

As for Snoop, he is yet to respond to Blunts’ comeback.
