If your broadband bills are hurting those monthly finances then now could be a very good time to check your postcode and go online shopping. All of the major Internet Service Providers such as Sky, BT and Virgin Media are running massive Black Friday money-saving offers right now with deals including free broadband for three months and price cuts to faster fibre speeds.
There are some pretty stellar savings available but before you rush to sign on the dotted line it's worth checking your street to see if any so-called Alternative Networks (AltNets) have installed their cables under the pavements. Many of these smaller firms are rivalling the bigger suppliers with blisteringly quick speeds at much lower prices.
For example, Community Fibre reckons users can save over £400 by switching to its speedy service.
Right now the London-based provider is offering 300Mbps downloads for £21 per month. At that rapid rate, you'd get a full HD movie whizzed to your TV in just over a minute.

That new low price is £19 cheaper than Sky and over £10 less than BT. Virgin Media is offering slightly slower 250Mbps access for £25.99 - that's still slightly more expensive than Community Fibre's Black Friday offer.

Of course, the biggest drawback with suppliers such as Community Fibre is that they only supply the web to a limited number of homes. That's compared to BT and Sky who can link up millions of properties to the web no matter where in the UK.
However, there are now AltNets popping up all over the country and you'll definitely get faster speeds at lower prices by switching.
