With Samsung releasing its eagerly anticipated Galaxy S25 Series, the OnePlus 13 is sure to make waves when it is announced. OnePlus 13 Series
The OnePlus 13 will be released globally on January 7, with India available through Amazon and the official OnePlus India website. It is expected to cost between Rs 67,000 and Rs 70,000, with two variants: 12GB RAM with 256GB Storage and 16GB RAM with 512GB Storage. The OnePlus 13R, a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5, will be available in India for Rs 39,000 for 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The OnePlus 13R, a rebranded variant of the OnePlus Ace 5, will feature a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, triple-camera system, 6,400mAh battery, and IP65 water and dust protection. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 3 CPU and comes with a 6,000mAh battery, a Gorilla Glass 7i screen, and an aluminium frame. The phone will be available in Nebula Noir and Astral Trail colourways.
The OnePlus 13, on the other hand, has a 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a Hasselblad-co-engineered triple-camera configuration, a 6,000mAh battery, and better robustness with Gorilla Glass Victus 2, all of which provide superior performance and visuals. The device was released in China in October and will come in three colours: Midnight Ocean, Black Eclipse, and Arctic Dawn.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series is likely to be showcased at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, 2025. The lineup includes three models: S25, S25 Plus, S25 Slim and the premium S25 Ultra.
As per rumour’s and reports the for the first time Samsung is likely to include a fourth variant- Galaxy S25 Slim. It is expected to feature a 6.66-inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and a 4,700mAh battery. Additionally its said to include a triple camera module with an ultrawide sensor and telephoto lens, and an LED flash on the back.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is stated to come with a 6.88-inch QHD+ display and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite with 12GB/16GB RAM, and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage. Additionally, it may house a 5,000mAh battery and feature a triple-camera module with LED flash. The camera setup is likely to include a 200MP main sensor with a 12MP telephoto lens and a 50MP tertiary camera
The Galaxy S24 Plus is said to have similar features as the Slim variant except for the battery and the camera specs.
Lastly, the standard S24 is speculated to have a 6.2-inch super AMOLED display, triple-camera module, LED flash, 12MP front camera, Android 15-based One Ui 7.0, 12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage. In the US/Canada/China the company is expected to provide a Qualcomm chipset whereas the global variant is stated to come integrated with the in-house Exynos chipset. Moreover, it could also sport a 4,000mAh battery with 25W charging support.
Oppo Reno 13 5G Series
Oppo Reno 13 series is set to launch in India this month. The company is yet to confirm the launch date but it is rumoured to debut in the second week of January.
According to the company, the series will comprise two variants: Reno 13 and Reno 13 Pro. In addition, it will be offered in two colours: Reno 13 Pro in Graphite Grey and Mist Lavender and Reno13 in Ivory White and Luminous Blue.
The Reno13 has a 6.59-inch full HD+ display, a dual-camera module, a 50MP front camera, 256GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with an 80W charger. The Reno 13 Pro features a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz, a 50MP front camera, a triple-camera module, 16GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a 5,800mAh battery. Both devices run OxygenOS 15, which is based on Android 15.
Xiaomi Redmi 14C 5G
Xiaomi is likely to unveil its budget phone, Redmi 14C 5G this month. The handset may feature a 6.88-inch HD+ display along with TÜV Rheinland certification. It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, Android 14-based HyperOS, 4GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Addionally it is expected to come with a 5,160mAh battery and an 18W charger.
Poco X7 series
The Poco X7 series is scheduled to launch in India on January 9 at 5:30 PM IST. The Poco X7 Pro and the regular Poco X7 are anticipated to be part of the smartphone portfolio. Flipkart has confirmed that the lineup is available for purchase nationwide.
The Poco X7 and X7 Pro phones feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution, compatible with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, HDR10+, and TÜV Rheinland eye care certification. The Pro model includes a 6.67-inch CrystalRez 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 2,560 Hz touch sampling rate and 3,200 nits brightness. IP68-rated constructions prevent water and dust intrusion.
The Poco X7 and Pro phones are expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra CPU, 12GB RAM, and 512GB inbuilt storage, with HyperOS 2.0 pre-installed on both phones, based on Android 15.
The Poco X7 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with 2x optical zoom and OIS, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main sensor with f/1.5 aperture, OIS, and 4K video recording capabilities, and a 20-megapixel camera in the base model.
The Pro version features a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired HyperCharging compatibility, while the vanilla version has a 5,110mAh battery with 45W TurboCharging support.
