Despite rumors suggesting he'll be passing the reigns to a new leader, those who work on the show alongside him have suggested the iconic writer and producer is not going anywhere anytime soon. 16. Damon Wayans joined SNL for its 11th year as well, but did not remain on the show for the full duration of the season. In March of that year, he was fired for improvising on live TV.
