There aren't many names in the rap industry that are known more than Snoop Dogg. Synonymous with West Coast hip-hop, Snoop Dogg quickly became a household name due to the success of his debut studio album, "Doggystyle". From then on, it seemed like he couldn't miss musically.
Snoop Dogg parlayed his early success into countless features on other artists' songs throughout the past three decades. He has also appeared in numerous movies, many times just playing himself. Riding a wave of never-ending hype, Snoop Dogg has made a jaw-dropping amount of appearances in different mediums, even as a torchbearer and performer in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Snoop Dogg set to perform at Donald Trump's inauguration
Snoop Dogg hasn't been actively involved in politics over the years, but he was notoriously anti-Donald Trump in the past. That has seemingly all changed now, as he appeared at an Inaugural Ball in Washington, D.C. for a Trump event and will reportedly perform at his inauguration on Monday.
This drew criticism from many of his fans, who can't help but feel he will do legitimately anything for money. Snoop Dogg has been outspoken about how much he charges for a feature, and his countless media appearances show he'll accept a bag from just about anyone.
Surprisingly, though, even Republicans are a bit perturbed by Snoop Dogg's change in philosophy. Several users on X don't understand why he's switching up.
- This is wild. Is he just a bandwagoner? Bc he was literally bashing Trump & Trump supporters not long ago.
- Wait I thought he hated Trump?
- I don't like this guy at all.......He never liked Trump
If it's ever revealed how much Snoop Dogg is getting paid for these appearances, their questions will be answered.
