A hot new Hollywood couple could be in the marking as Sofia Vergara and Sir Lewis Hamilton spark rumours of a budding romance.
The Modern Family actress, 52, and the F1 legend, 40, enjoyed a lunch date in New York City recently and were all smiles as they grabbed a bite to eat. According to TMZ, Sofia and Lewis sat next to each other for the meal, joined by friends at some point, and mum-of-one Sofia was said to be so engaged in the conversation she only picked at her food.
The American publication claims Sofia and Lewis left the restaurant and engaged in some flirting outside the eatery before Sofia hopped in the back of a black SUV and headed home. The Mirror has approached representatives for both Sofia and Lewis for comment on this story.
Lewis, who switched teams from Mercedes to Ferrari at the end of last year, was in an on-and-off relationship with Nicole Scherzinger from 2007 until 2015. Over the years, the British driver has been linked to huge celebrities like Rihanna and model Gigi Hadid.

Speaking in January 2024, one month before her divorce was finalised, Sofia opened up about her split from "younger husband" Joe Manganiello, revealing a disagreement over children led to their separation. At the time of announcing their split, Sofia and Joe described it as a "difficult decision" without delving into the details behind their unexpected breakup.
In a revealing interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais, Sofia got candid about the end of her relationship with the Magic Mike actor, citing their differing views on starting a family as the cause for their split. "My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids and I didn't want to be an old mom," she disclosed. "I feel it's not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that's not for me anymore."
The Colombian star, who is already a mother to 32 year old son Manolo with her ex-husband Joe Gonzalez, expressed her readiness to embrace being a grandmother rather than having more children. She also made it clear that any future romance would depend on her partner already having children of his own.

Sofia even quipped about her future grandparenting duties, saying once her son Manolo has children, she'll happily "bring the baby to me for a while and then I'll give it back to him and go on with my life."
The couple's romance began in 2014, with Joe previously revealing that Sofia had initially expressed concerns about their age gap during their first date. "Our first date was her giving me every reason why it would never work out. Like, 'You're too young, you're an actor, you're this, you're that,' and she was just doing it to hear herself say it. She was trying to talk herself out of going there," he shared with Haute Living in 2015.
After a whirlwind six-month romance, the True Blood star proposed to Sofia, and they exchanged vows in an extravagant Palm Beach, Florida, ceremony attended by around 350 guests, including Sofia's Modern Family co-stars Sarah Hyland and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Prior to their nuptials, Sofia confessed to Cosmo for Latinas that starting a family wasn't a priority, but she would be "very happy" if it were to happen.
Following their separation announcement in July last year, Sofia has been spotted on multiple dates with orthopaedic surgeon Justin Saliman, while Joe has been seeing actress Caitlin O'Connor after they reportedly met in a hot tub at a party in September last year.
